Banking entities were awarded that must offer free opening and maintenance service of salary accounts.
In a new extent in state deregulation, The Government awarded eleven private banks on Thursday the possibility of offering salaries accounts to state employees and public companies. Until now the National Bank could do it.
Through lto administrative decision 9/2025 of the Cabinet Headquarters, Published Thursday morning in the Official Gazette, the Government formalized the award of the “Free Opening, Management and Maintenance Service” of salaries to eleven private sides. It will be for a three -year term with an additional extension option.
This measure is a new step with others given in the same direction last year. Last August, the government repealed the 2021 need (DNU) decree (DNU) which established the obligation of the ministries and agencies of the State to hire the services of public companies as Nation Seguros, Banco Nación, Use YPF and Aerolineas Argentinas.
He DNU 823which was still in force, it specified that “the jurisdictions and entities included in article 8 of Law No. 24,156 of financial administration and the control systems of the national public sector” should “implement the hiring of insurance policies that require in the exercise of their management through Nation Seguros SA in all the branches in which that institution operates. ”
The banks that were awarded
The measure does not prohibit the Nation Bank from continuing to provide the salaries to state -owned service, but, from now on, they will be able to do new more entities. These are:
- Creicoop
- Patagonia
- Santander
- ICBC
- Galicia
- BBVA
- Macro
- Supervielle
Mortgage, city and brubank banks had also appeared, but their offers were dismissed.
