The largest prepaid in the country rectified the increase in quotas planned for May

The largest prepaid medicine company in the country will apply lower increases from those initially announced.

After the controversy generated with its affiliates and the national government, OSDEthe largest prepaid medicine company in Argentina, rectified the percentage of increase it had reported for the month of May. Through a new official communication, the company announced that it will apply more moderate adjustments in its plans.

Last Monday, Osde had notified his more than 2.3 million members an increase in 3.4%figure that exceeded the adjustments announced by other prepaids such as Medical Swiss and Galenwho had already corrected their increases after a meeting with national officials. The lack of synchronization generated strong discomfort among users, who expressed their disagreement in social networks.

According to sources close to the firm, the letter sent on Monday was already scheduled and, although there was the intention of suspending it, it was decided to respect the legal deadlines planned after the official publication of the inflation index.

New increases in increase

This Friday, OSDE reported a reduction in the percentage of increase for May: it will be 2.6% For him Plan 210 and of 2.9% For the 310 and 410 plans. In this way, the average adjustment will remain around 2.74%.

From the company they justified the decision based on the recent evolution of the economy: “It is a vote of confidence. We observe variables such as the stability of the dollar and the agreements reached between the government and the laboratories, which allow a minor update,” they explained in a statement.

Competition for the slightest increase

Osde also stressed that, according to its records, it has been one of the prepaid that applied less increases in the last 16 monthsalthough this leadership is also claimed by Swiss Medical. Both companies argue to have adopted a “reasonable” approach in the update of their fees, with the aim of preserving the long -term relationship with their affiliates.

With this new adjustment, OSDE seeks to align with government expectations, which has been pressing the private sector to contain increases in essential services and avoid greater impacts on consumer pocket.
