Magna would like to increase sales from the last 36.24 billion dollars (31.68 billion euros) to around 39 billion this year and to around 45 to 46 billion dollars by 2024 with better margins at the same time. For the assembly of entire vehicles at Magna Steyr in Graz, the sales forecast is somewhat more muted.
“Despite significant cost headwinds, we expect improved operating results in 2022 as the industry recovers and production schedules normalize,” said Magna CEO Swamy Kotagiri. In the “Complete Vehicles” segment of Magna Steyr in Graz, the group achieved around a sixth of its total sales in the previous year with 6.11 billion dollars – in 2020 it was 5.42 billion dollars. However, the sales forecast for the area of complete vehicles is lower compared to the previous year’s figures. 5.8 to 6.1 billion are expected for 2022 and 5.0 to 5.5 billion dollars for 2024.
32,700 vehicles were assembled in the segment in the final quarter, slightly fewer than in the previous year (34,500). Especially with the Jaguar I-Pace, less was assembled.
