Falling gasoline prices further down in the year. The situation is different compared to the previous month.

Inflation has surprisingly weakened in the United States. In April, consumer prices rose by 2.3 percent of the year, as the Ministry of Labor in Washington announced. In March, the inflation rate was 2.4 percent. It is already the third decline in inflation in a row after it started in January with 3.0 percent in the year. In April, economists expected an average of stagnation.

The inflation was slowed down by falling energy prices. The gasoline prices have dropped particularly significantly, by almost twelve percent in the year. The core inflation rate, in which prices for energy and food are calculated, remained at 2.8 percent in April, as expected.

Compared to the previous month, consumer prices in the largest economy rose over a total of 0.2 percent after they were still easy in March. An increase of 0.3 percent was forecast here.
