After five years there is a fresh start at the head of the Supervisory Board. Clara-Christina Streit will in future watch over a company that is currently on record course.
At the German stock exchange, a woman is now leading the supervisory board: Clara-Christina Streit (56) takes over by Martin Jetter (66). Immediately after the Annual General Meeting, the DAX Group’s control committee elected dispute as the new chairman.
The shareholder meeting took place for the first time since the pre-Corona year 2019 as a presence event. With this, the German stock exchange also wanted to offer the group leader Stephan Leithhner, which has been in office since the beginning of the year, to personally introduce themselves to the shareholders.
The Frankfurt market operator is on a record course thanks to strong fluctuations on the stock exchanges and good businesses with products around the financial markets. In the current year, the board is aiming at around 5.2 billion euros in net proceeds and 2.7 billion euros in surgical profits.
Change in the Supervisory Board in December
The dispute has been part of the German Börse Supervisory Board since 2019. She is also head of supervisory board at the real estate group Vonovia and chair of the government commission of German Corporate Governance Code, which takes care of rules for good corporate management.
The long-time IBM manager Jetter took over the management of the German Stock Exchange Supervisory Board after the 2020 general meeting. He would have been in office for two more years, but had declared his waiver. The company announced in December that the dispute should be a successor.
