Boeing secures order for $ 96 billion in Qatar

According to the US government, the Arabic airline Qatar Airways wants to buy up to 210 jets from Boeing. The deal for the type 787 Dreamliner and 777x machines has a volume of $ 96 billion, the White House said. It is the largest order from Boeing large-scale aircraft to date.
The companies signed the agreement when visiting US President Donald Trump in Qatar. Company boss Kelly Ortberg was there for Boeing. In the meantime, Trump seemed to quantify the volume at $ 200 billion before the White House called the number of 96 billion. Details of the deal remained unclear. Boeing has been in a crisis in a crisis in the last few years during the orders behind the European rival Airbus. The delivery of a first aircraft of the 777x family, which is to replace today’s 777 models, is planned for next year. There were several years of delays during the development and at Boeing, orders for several hundred machines of the type have already been accumulated.
Trump has been in the Golf region since Tuesday and had many economic bosses at his side at the first stop in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi leadership announced billions of investments in the United States and also agreed with the American side on a large scale armaments.
