The most popular employers are still car companies. Behind it there are surprising promoters, authorities and, above all, many trading companies.
The economic situation is tense in many industries, but there are no dark times for specialists. They are still urgently sought in many places and they have a lot of freedom on the question of where they would like to work. Just where exactly is that? The Trendence market research institute asked specialists in which employer they would “most likely apply”. The results lie that star Exclusive in advance. Surprising answer: Four carmakers are among the top ten, of all things. After all, the battered industry is currently reducing jobs on a large scale.
Of course, the clear result does not only have to do with the quality of the jobs. The reputation of an employer often depends on how well and how intensively he advertises employees, judges the Trendence Institute. And also how you and your products are publicly perceived.
In this survey, this also means that it is above all the very large and well -known companies that made it into the ranking. But three state institutions are also among the top 25: the Bundeswehr, the police – and surprisingly the Federal Employment Agency.
If you compare the industries as a whole, the public sector is even ahead with 28 percent of the entries. Only then do trade (25 percent) and finally the auto industry (20 percent) follow.
Specialist trend: the state falls off, security remains important
The Trendence Institute carries out the survey annually. Two trends are emerging here: For example, as a secure employer from the public service such as customs, police or foreign office are not quite as high as immediately after the coron apandemia. The employment agency, for example, has slipped as an employer since 2023 from 12th to 22nd place, the customs from 16th to 32th.
In contrast, trading companies are once again perceived as somewhat more attractive. The drugstore chain DM made 18 places well in two years and is now in 8th place, Aldi Süd made it to 12th place. However, the most popular trading company remains Amazon (3rd place).
However, security has not become unimportant. “Our numbers show: Specialists from the Blue-Collar labor market feel primarily attracted to innovative and, in their view, stable employers,” explains Trendence Managing Director Robindro Ullah. This image is currently being attributed to the auto industry and trade.
For the study, the Trendence Institute Online asked 20,000 specialists: “In which this employer would you most likely apply?” Up to three companies could be mentioned. The respondents were on average 35 years old, mostly completed an apprenticeship, some were still in one, some had also done a master or attended a technical school.
