Amazon also starts bargain portal in Germany
Inexpensive products are currently particularly in demand. This is why Amazon will offer its customers something new in the future. This should also be aimed at the growing competition through portals such as Temu.
From now on, people in Germany can also search for bargains in the Amazon Portal Haul. According to the company, articles are to be offered particularly cheaply in the new section. “We know that it is important for customers in Germany to find great products at very low prices,” said Amazon Germany boss, Rocco Bräuniger, the German press agency.
Haul contains articles from the categories fashion, living and lifestyle. According to Amazon, thousands of products will be found there for 20 euros or less, most of them for less than 10 euros. Haul has been available in the United States since November, in Great Britain since the beginning of May. The English word means as much as prey or catch.
The new section is integrated into the existing online shop and should initially be available for selected customers in the app from today, Amazon said. In the coming weeks, Haul will be provided to all other customers. To find Haul, you can enter Haul in the search field of the app or get there via the symbol in the main menu.
Amazon attracts with extra discounts
Market leader Amazon is under pressure in competition. Asian shopping portals such as Temu have recently increased significantly in Germany. E-commerce expert Alexander Graf from the software company Spryker says: “Wherever Temu is successful, Amazon needs an answer, i.e. a new platform. That should be a haul.”
Amazon attracts customers with extra discounts. From a value of 50 euros, there is five percent, from 75 euros ten percent. Amazon itself is sold, not from third -party providers. The company sends the products from its logistics center in China directly to the customers. Orders should be delivered within two weeks, from a shopping cart of 25 euros free of charge. Buyers can return items within 15 days of delivery without additional costs.
