Railway traffic in the Netherlands will be strike again this Tuesday. Most trains from Germany to Amsterdam also fail. Only the regional trains to the border cities continue.
A strike largely paralyzes rail traffic in the Netherlands this Tuesday. Practically all trains of the Dutch railways (NS) are canceled, as the state railway company announced.
All Intercity trains between Berlin and Amsterdam do not run as well as some of the ICE trains on the connection Frankfurt-Köln-Amsterdam, as Deutsche Bahn announced. Some night trains from and to Amsterdam are also affected.
The reason for the strike is a tariff conflict. A strike had already slowed down rail traffic in the Netherlands on Friday.
A shuttle traffic is maintained between the Amsterdam main station and Schiphol Airport. If you urgently need to take the train to Amsterdam, you can also drive from Cologne to the Dutch capital with Eurostar trains from Cologne via Brussels.
The regional trains of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony also drive to the Dutch border towns of Heerlen, Venlo, Arngem and Hengelo without any restrictions.
