Russians on average estimate the cost of the necessary benefits for a fulfilling life in retirement at 55.5 thousand rubles a month, according to a study by SberNPF (Izvestia has it).
The largest amount was indicated by residents of Moscow (83.9 thousand), and the smallest – by the Astrakhan region (42.1 thousand). Respondents named high-quality medicine, the availability of their own apartment or house, modern household appliances and good nutrition as the main priorities.
Significant differences are observed among respondents depending on gender and age. On average, men need 60 thousand rubles a month, and women – 51 thousand. Young people under 30 also want to have an income of 60 thousand in retirement, and those who have already retired (60+) consider the monthly amount sufficient at 33 thousand rubles.
Muscovites (83.9 thousand rubles a month), St. Petersburg (77.4 thousand), Khabarovsk (74.6 thousand), Vladivostok (73.8 thousand) and Tyumen (68, 8 thousand rubles). Astrakhan (42.1 thousand), Penza (42.9 thousand), Saratov (43.3 thousand), Chelny (45.3 thousand) and Orenburg (47 thousand) people estimate the cheapest set of necessary goods.
Experts interviewed by Izvestia attribute the high differentiation to strong regional gaps in household incomes, the cost of essential goods, and the level of social security.
