New requirements regarding energy efficiency, repairability and battery life apply, the Austrian energy agency said. The aim is to facilitate the product selection based on clear quality and environmental criteria.
In addition to energy efficiency, the label provides information about the robustness compared to damage by falling, the level of protection against dust and liquids, repair friendliness as well as the lifespan and performance of the battery. It is also new that information on charging cycles and the minimum life of the batteries must be disclosed.
