The former star chef Alfons Schuhbeck stood in his process for bankruptcy and corona wilfing fraud. This was part of a deal.
Star chef Alfons Schuhbeck made a confession in the new trial against him. The 76-year-old admitted the allegations of bankruptcy and fraud with corona wages before the Munich I district court.
“I want to face this procedure and put the facts of the indictment,” he read from an explanation. “I deeply regret the damage and the concerns and needs of my creditors. I apologize for it.”
Alfons Schuhbeck’s confession is part of a deal of everyone involved
The confession is part of a so -called deal between all those involved in the procedure. Schuhbeck now expects a total penalty between at least four and at most four years and eight months.
However, this included the three years and two months, to which the Munich I Schuhbeck district court had already condemned in 2022 for tax evasion. Such a retroactive formation of a total penalty is provided by the legislator if the deeds are in such a way that they could have been charged in the first process. And this is the case here because they refer to the time before the last judgment.
Schuhbeck is incurable to cancer
As the spokeswoman for Munich I, Anne Leiding, explained, it must not be at the expense of a accused if the public prosecutor takes longer for the investigation and the indictment.
According to his lawyer Norbert Scharf, a severe and incurable cancer of the 76-year-old is a reason why Schuhbeck and his defenders agree to the deal. So Schuhbeck has been in treatment for months and had to be operated on. The disease is also the reason why his prison sentence is currently exposed. First and until mid -September, Schuhbeck is at large for health reasons.
