According to defense, Alfons Schuhbeck is terminally ill with cancer and made a comprehensive confession at the start of the trial.

In the trial for bankruptcy and fraud against Alfons Schuhbeck (76), which began on Tuesday before the Munich I District Court, the former celebrity chef made a comprehensive confession. “Life led me far up and now all over again,” he said, according to media reports. In addition, he claimed “to be deeply regretted the caused damage” and to do everything in his power in order to repay the money they are entitled to.

Schuhbeck thus confessed to having illegally cashed in state corona wages and, despite immediately threatening bankruptcy, continued to have continued his businesses. The expected sentence, which is likely to be officially read out on July 14, can already be estimated. For example, the responsible judge had given the prospect of Schuhbeck’s confession: “In the event of a fully truthful confession, we suggest a total prison sentence of at least four years and at most four years and 8 months.” His existing prison sentence for tax evasion would therefore be extended by ten to a maximum of 18 months.

Cancer diagnosis published

According to confirmed reports, Schuhbeck’s lawyer also confirmed at the start of the trial that the star gastronomy suffered incurable to cancer and that the lymph nodes have already passed the lymph nodes. This is also the reason why Schuhbeck was rapidly settled in court and his prison sentence was recently exposed to September.

In October 2022, Alfons Schuhbeck was sentenced to three years and two months in prison for tax evasion. Schuhbeck had previously submitted several partial confession in court. The Federal Court of Justice later confirmed the prison sentence, which the big chef finally competed in August 2023.
