“Beauty & The Nerd” and more: Reality TV shows for the summer

Summer is perfect for being dredged by reality TV formats. The current TV calendar has these shows to offer.

In the new season of “Beauty & the Nerd”, different living environments meet again: eight couples, consisting of a self -proclaimed “beauty” and a “nerd”, spend time together on Koh Samui, Thailand. The couples compete against each other in different challenges and fight for victory. In the end, not only new experiences, but also a prize money of 50,000 euros for the most successful duo. Laura Lettgen (28) or Max Bornmann (27) are included as “beauties”. From Thursday, June 26th, the format on ProSieben and free of charge can be seen at Joyn.

The fans had to wait for a broadcast for a long time, but since mid -June it has been clear that the fourth season of the reality show “prominently separated – the villa of the past” on July 1st on RTL+. In the show, the participants should bury their ex -partners or partners and disputes in order to get through as a team. For the effort of the former couples, prize money of up to 100,000 euros attracts.

The candidates of the fourth season have been determined since the end of November 2024: Among other things, Yeliz Koc and their ex Jannik Kontalis, known from the “Bachelor” formats. In addition, Marco Cerullo and Christina Grass, Sidar Sahin and Jana Klein as well as Alan Wey and Pamela Ghazal join themselves. Other ex-couples are Jonny Jaspers and Laura Peuker, Ariel and Giuliano Hediger, Nicolas Müller and Jennifer Iglesias as well as Babu and Felix Davidson.

New reality format in Sat.1: 14 stars will move to the “Villa of Tetulation” for two weeks. There is no glamorous stay with soft beds and tasty dishes, but “hard mats and sparse rations”. The residents can also choose amenities, but the temptations cost.

Verona Pooth (57) will present the program. “As in real life: everything has its price,” emphasizes the moderator in a statement. The stars should “treat themselves to everything – but it will cost you something”. The prize money of 250,000 euros disappears accordingly, which is what conflicts are inevitable. It starts with the “Villa of Temption” from Monday, July 7th, at 8:15 p.m. in Sat.1 and at the streaming service Joyn. The experiment will face actors and musicians Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (33), TV-Casanova and jungle camp participant Gigi Birofio (26), “Summer House of Stars” candidate Raúl Richter (38) and “Prominent” “Participant Kate Merlan (38).

From Thursday, July 24th, the fifth season “Princess Charming” will be available at RTL+ (a new episode every Thursday). As Princess, Vanessa Borck (28) goes to Liebess search. She became known under her social media name “NessionTour” and the Instagram channel “Coupleontour”, which she operated before separation with his wife Ina. “The content creator from Berlin in need of harmony is with heart, doubt and full hope if you datet the new candidates in Thailand to maybe find her new dream woman,” explains the broadcaster in the announcement.

Spectators can already hope for further supplies. Because the new season of “Are You The One? Reality Stars in Love” will probably be seen “on RTL+” from summer. Then the candidates known from the reality world have to go again in search of their “Perfect Match”. If the singles are successful, prize money is up to 200,000 euros. In season fifth, celebrity candidate Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is included.

The speculation about the new “Summer House of Stars” couples are already in full swing. In the tenth anniversary relay, according to the “Bild” newspaper, Hot-Banditoz member Silva Gonzalez with his partner Stefanie Schanzleh, Hanka Rackwitz with partner Pierre, singer Sarah Joelle Jahnel with friend Esrin as well as reality TV participant Tara Tabitha with colleague and friend Dennis Lodi. A precise start date has not yet been determined, season nine was shown from mid -September. According to the “Bild”, however, it is apparently planned to only radiate the new season from October.

The current formats in the reality world, which have already celebrated premiere, include “Die Bachelors” (Wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. at RTL or on RTL+one week in advance), “Fight of reality stars” (Wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. at RTL+) or “Bauer sucht Ms. International” (Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. at RTL+).
