His whole life is about dogs, now Martin Rütter has to say goodbye to a special animal for him. The long-time companion of the TV star died.
Dog professional Martin Rütter usually performs in a good mood, but the 55-year-old was in deep grief. Because he had to say goodbye to his bitch Emma. In October last year she celebrated her twelfth birthday, after which she was increasingly worse. During a visit to the vet followed the shock diagnosis: lung cancer in the final stage.

With tears in his eyes, he recently describes with Emma: “Then you are there and yes … the wheezes and they snorkel there.” The dog professional and his environment were forced to make a difficult decision: they let them put them to sleep in the morning after the diagnosis.

Rütter is open to new dog
The sympathy is probably so great because the bitch Emma was regularly seen together with Martin Rütter – at appearances, interviews and many of its formats.
The dog professional still has to process the loss, after all, the bitch accompanied him over a decade. “But I hope that at some point I can open myself up again for a new dog,” says Rütter.
Transparency note: The star is part of RTL Germany.
