“Make good progress”: sick Heinz Hoenig with a view forward

Almost all of Germany was feverish with drama star Heinz Hoenig (73) last year. As is well known, the mime had to undergo several difficult operations, floated in mortal danger – and without health insurance. Fortunately, Hoenig now delivered a positive update to his state of health. “I’m making good progress,” he said literally. He can also run again without outside help.

Around a month ago, the former TV star also revealed that he would like to work again as an actor. He is “now fit for filming again,” he said. Also compared to the “picture” Hoenig confirmed this again with the words: “I want to make films again, good films. And stand on stage.”

In the difficult time of his illness, the knowledge of the actor, the actor’s knowledge was particularly wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig (40) help and support. “I have a destination every day. I wake up, reach for the right, my wife is. Then the children come to our bed and we cuddle. They are the most important thing for me,” Hoenig told Bild.

At the beginning of the year, the spouses said yes almost exactly on their sixth wedding anniversary. In March they held a romantic ceremony in the closest family and friends in March. Hoenig also received a new, golden wedding ring from his wife at the time. “Anni is in my ring, in her Heinzi,” he reveals.

Heinz Hoenig had to go to the hospital in May 2024 due to acute heart problems. Bacteria had damaged his esophagus, the actor was operated on and the esophagus was removed. After 143 days in the intensive care unit – including ops, coma and resuscitation – Annika Kärsten -Hoenig brought her “Heinzi” home and has been maintaining it since then.
