With the judge decision, the procedure can now take its multi-stage run. Specifically, this means that the Attorney General will apply for a delivery arrest warrant that the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (OLG) has to decide. This step usually follows further applications, decisions and proclaims. After the last OLG decision, the accused must be delivered within ten days.
Ochsenknecht was temporarily arrested on Wednesday afternoon at Hamburg Airport due to an international arrest warrant against him. He was searched for not paying an invoice of around 14,000 euros to a Tyrolean hotel from December 2021, as the Austrian public prosecutor said.
