The video game “Street Fighter” is considered an absolute classic. Now the fighting game is filmed – with rapper 50 cents as a boxer.
Rapper 50 cents plays in the “Street Fighter” film. The musician embodies the boxer and antagonist Balrog, as “The Hollywood Reporter” reported. In addition to 50 cents, Jason Momoa (Blanka), Noah Centineo (Ken) and Wrestler Roman Reigns (Akuma) can be seen in the adaptation of the successful game. According to the report, the protagonist Ryu plays martial artists and actors Andrew Koji. Directed by Kitao Sakurai (“Bad Trip”).
50 cents, which is called Curtis Jackson with a bourgeois name, was in front of the camera for the first time in the feature film “Get Rich or Die Tryin ‘” from 2005. The film is based on Jackson’s own biography and bears the same name as its first studio album. This was followed by appearances by the 49-year-old in numerous films, such as “Frozen Ground” and “Den of Thieves”.
With “Street Fighter”, Legendary Entertainment and Capcom jointly adapt the Capcom game series, which started in 1987 with the first part as an arcade game. Many sequels and spin-offs for computers and console followed. “Street Fighter” is considered a classic of the fighting game genre.
