Wincent Weiss: Pop singer reveals details about the new album

Wincent Weiss (32) is back with new music: his next album should appear “in late summer or autumn”. The new single “slowly” will be the first harbinger this Friday. The album has not yet been finished, but the first song is-a “kitsch-cooler Liebessong”, reveals Weiss at the “Gum Walk” event from Mars Wrigley in Munich, which dealt with tips for selfcare and stress relief such as chewing gum and music.

Weiss will also bring the new song on his summer tour in July. Share unpublished music live for the first time is something special for him. “I’m always looking forward to the reactions. If you play new songs, half and the other may not like it.” He set a clear goal for the tour: “Make as many people happy as possible.” According to this, everyone should “get their money’s worth” – whether radio listener or big fans.

The musician’s arena tour only came to an end in March, now a number of open-air concerts follow. Did he already have time to miss the stage? “Yes, totally. Above all, you miss a large arena stage,” says Weiss. “Of course she is very special because she could drive and you worked a lot with pyro and lighting effects.” So he could “stage songs much better”. On the other hand, he loves open airs “the festival vibe” and the mood at sunset.

Weiss has been going on tour regularly for around ten years. For him, stage fright is now the exception. But he is also prepared for this. “Then I look at old videos of concerts and see that people are happy and sing along. Then I go on stage with the motivation.”

Despite a full schedule, Wincent Weiss also consciously breaks out – for example when walking regularly, as here at the “Gum Walk”. That helps him in front of concerts, he says. Also listen to music or just scream out the stress, do him well. In addition, “I go to sports alone for two hours on most days. I don’t take anyone with me because I want to be alone, listen to music for myself. Then I go back to work.” He also uses the trips between the concerts to switch off. “I drive alone so that I am not in the tour bus and have time for myself,” explains Weiss.

So he also discovered his new passion for cars that he wants to share in the future. “A project is currently tinkering with cars. I screw around classic cars a lot and I am often in the workshop. I film that at some point and start a second channel on YouTube,” the singer reveals about his plans for the future.
