Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet have ended their 18-year relationship. The French dream couple separates mutually.
It is the end of one of the best -known love stories of French cinema: Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet separated after 18 years together. The 49-year-old Oscar winner and the 52-year-old actor and director informed the AFP news agency on Friday.

The former couple is particularly important to “avoid speculation, rumors and wild interpretations”. As parents of their two children – son Marcel (13) and daughter Louise (8) – they want to protect the well -being of their family. Two careers, a great love
Marion Cotillard became world famous through her embodiment of the French chanson icon Edith Piaf. For her leading role in “La Vie en Rose” from 2007, she received the Oscar as the best leading actress – as the third French ever. Her other successes include films such as “Mathilde – A Great Love”, “Midnight in Paris” by Woody Allen and “Inception” by Christopher Nolan.
Guillaume Canet made a name for himself as an actor and director. Cotillard was in front of the camera in several of his films, including “Little True Lies” and “Asterix and Obelix in the Middle Kingdom”. The couple got to know each other in 2007 and has since been considered one of the dream couples of the French film scene.
