Mama granted important lessons before her death

On one of her last days together, her mother looked back on life and illuminated Michelle Obama with this wisdom.

This moment has changed its view of the final validity of life. Michelle Obama (61) reveals what her mother told her on her deathbed.

The former First Lady revealed in the fact that she was “not afraid” of death. The wife of Barack Obama (63) explained how her late mother Marian Robinson, who died in May 2024 at the age of 86, reminded her of one of her last days together how important it is to “live a good life”.

“In the last year of my mother’s life she was sick. Her body simply switched off for various reasons. And in her last phase of illness she was with me in Hawaii, in our house in Hawaii, which was a blessing,” recalled Obama. One day the mother-daughter duo sat on a couch and looked at one of Robinson’s favorite programs, with the mother of the former presidential wife gave a valuable lesson: “She realized that she would no longer be the same. She started to understand that it ended with her,” said Obama. “She leaned over to me and said: ‘Wow, that was quick.'”

Michelle Obama asked what she meant by that, Robinson replied: “Life. She said: ‘But that was quick.’ And that showed me that even if you talk to yourself that you are ready when you live a good life, you are never really ready to end it. ” She is now trying to live her life as if she had this feeling: “I wish I had more time.”

“My husband finds the morbide”

The mother of two daughters wants to live their rest of their time “more carefully”. “My husband finds this morbid, but when I am 61, when I am lucky, when I’m really blessed, I am still 25 summer,” she overturns. “I have the feeling that the years only pass if I didn’t pay attention to it,” she continued. “And in the end you spend a year with what to do? Have you done everything you wanted to do? Have you spent time with the people you wanted to spend time with and did you do the things you wanted?”
