Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez: Let them get married as they want

One of the richest people in the world marries and gives the miracle to what miracle, a lot of money. The comments on this exceed each other in their degradation of Jeff Bezos, his new wife Lauren Sanchez-Bezos and the whole pomp. Grid, optionally taste or silent and in general: the poor city of Venice!

Funny make fun of the groom, because it is rich and therefore spoiled anyway, at least. What does the cheeky roof come up with suddenly to devote himself to his health and to train physically in shape. The old show block! And then he also wants to marry as he and his wife imagine it, and invites his rich friends to Venice. That can also be done with potato salad and sausages in the home garden!

The bride is then often called Bezos’ trophy in such comments and texts. That the two may just love each other, completely unthinkable!

In general, the criticism of the two and the glamor wedding is at least hypocritical. The interest in the event is huge. There are reports around the globe, also at the star the articles have been clicked most frequently by readers in the past few days. The wedding is a spectacle that maintains the masses – which then blasphemes over it. There is fun through foam parties or invitation cards that supposedly did not look modern enough, for example in this text of my very valued colleague Luisa Schwebel over the summit of the tastiness of the Bezos.

In Germany we have already experienced this when Christian Lindner and Franca Lehfeldt gave themselves the yes of the German Venice on Sylt. Even then, many looked at the expensive celebration, especially with malice. As if rich people should not buy their assets developed what they wanted – and celebrate firmly as they popular.

But – and that’s aRather German phenomenon-when people have accumulated a certain wealth, we often consider them as a blasphemy free game. As if Jeff Bezos was a worse person just because he is rich. The Darth Vader of the Amazon empire. Bezos is only so rich because we all constantly buy over its platform. His idea seems to have been quite so stupid. We virtually vote freely every day that it gets richer – and then look estimated and yes, also jealous of what he does with this wealth.

For a few years now, the climate argument has been preferred for such blasphemy. It cannot be dismissed: it is not nice for the environment when celebrities fly to Venice in private jet to celebrate. But: As long as we all drive, fly on vacation, use disposable products and have every nonsense delivered from China by Amazon (!), The Climate Blame game is a difficult game.

Yes, but the super rich are particularly bad for the climate, it is then said to be from the western middle class. Stupid: From the perspective of large parts of the world, the western middle class is super rich. There we are the rich fools who pollute the lovely day for “unnecessary luxury” the environment. All one question of perspective.

In addition, much longer has been excited about rich people than that we would worry about the climate. It’s just a new reason for an old shoot.

Venice also suffered that Bezos and Sanchez pump millions into the city with their giant festival (and additional donations) is a very angle argument. Venice is a tourist city. She lives on it. Venetians can find that stupid. And protest against it. You will probably not change it. So you have to decide whether you can tolerate it – or no longer live in Venice.

Weddings are a fine thing. They celebrate love between two people. How, where and with whom you celebrate your wedding, everyone can decide for themselves. Fortunately, we can do what we feel like. Everyone as he likes. Also very, very rich people.
