“Let’s Dance” dancer Malika Dzumaev registered with her fans and took a conclusion five days after her intervertebral disc operation.
Tanzprofi Malika Dzumaev (34) spoke up again after her operation. The dancer had previously made public that she was suffering from an acute herniated disc on the cervical spine – a diagnosis that she forced to cancel this year’s professional challenge at “Let’s Dance”. An operation was ultimately essential.
Malika Dzumaev is still “something broken”
“Five days after my intervertebral disc surgery on the cervical spine, I am back from the hospital, still with pain relievers, something broken, without makeup, but finally again with a little smile after a long time,” wrote the dancer for a short selfie video. In the clip it shows herself with a large mesh plaster on the neck.
The past few weeks have not been physically and mentally not easy for her and would have demanded everything to her, “but all of this made me stronger,” said the 34-year-old bravely. Then she thanked her fans for the recovery wishes. “It shows me how many people are behind me and I am infinitely grateful for that.”
In the comment column, there was encouraging words from dancer colleague Massimo Sinató (44): “Get well soon and soon you’ll be rocking the dance floor again.” And other “Let’s Dance” stars also showed their support. Her Herzchen-Emojis came from colleague Kathrin Menzinger (36) and juror Motsi Mabuse (44) and dancer Ekaterina Leonova (38) wrote: “Get well soon, our sunshine.”
Five days ago, Dzumaev had shared an update with her fans and followers on Instagram. “I did it today. My first anesthesia, my very first op and a lot of fears,” she wrote to a photo from the hospital bed. She wanted to report to her followers “if I have rested something,” she announced at the time.
