For the 60th anniversary of the stage, the Scorpions are honored by Deutsche Post with a limited special stamp edition.
The Scorpions and Deutsche Post make collector hearts beat faster on the occasion of the band’s 60th anniversary on the stage with a limited special stamp edition. Under the motto “60 Years of Scorpions”, an edition with four different stamps was published on July 1st.
4 series of the Scorpions letter marks limited to 125,000 pieces
One of the brands shows the Peace characters alongside the words “Love” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll”, a second the band’s scorpion logo and the other two text excerpts from the global Scorpions hits “Wind of Change” and “Rock You like a Hurricane”. The latter two are backed up with the colors of the Germany flag. The stamps have a postage value of 95 cents each.
The 4-way brands designed in the form of a T-shirt are available in several variants. The titles of the Scorpions albums are listed on the back. On its website, where the special editions can be ordered, Deutsche Post states that the numbered arches are limited to 125,000 pieces worldwide.
“We are proud of 60 years of band history and grateful for many indescribable moments and experiences as musicians. The fact that some of our songs are now immortalized in this special stamp edition is something very special for us and a great thing for our fans,” band founder Rudolf Schenker (76) quotes in a press release. Scorpions singer Klaus Mein (77) is happy with his bandmates, “if we can provide our greetings with our own stamp”.
According to current information this year, the group’s upcoming Germany concert is scheduled to rise on July 5th in the Hannover Scorpions home. A special post office is to be set up at the concert, in which there will be the first use and a special stamp for the concert. The stamps are also available by phone.
