From Cate Blanchett to David Beckham: The tennis tournament in Wimbledon does not miss many celebrities. It is still open whether Princess Kate is coming.
It is the oldest and most important tennis tournament in the world: since 1877 the Wimbledon Championships have been taking place in time -honored All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The competitions in women and men attract numerous celebrities and members of the British royal family to Wimbledon in the southwest of London. At the start, ex-soccer professional David Beckham, actress Cate Blanchett or Princess Beatrice with her mother Sarah Ferguson showed up. The tournament will be played for over two weeks, the women’s final is scheduled for July 12, 2025, the men’s final takes place a day later.
It is eagerly awaited whether Princess Kate shows herself in Wimbledon. Most recently, she had had to cancel a planned appearance at the horse race in Ascot at short notice. Immediately there was speculation about the health of the 43-year-old. Last year she had made a cancer public, since the beginning of this year it has been in remission. Kate is a passionate tennis player and has been patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club since 2016.
