First trailer of the Odyssey
Following Nolan’s preference that his trailers are a cinematographic experience, the trailer was not launched online, similar to the launch of the Oppenheimer’s trailer in 2023. The first to see the progress in all their splendor were those who have already seen Jurassic World: Renace, which reaches theaters today. However, it ended on the Internet anyway.
The advance begins with images of a dark ocean and the voiceover: “Darkness. The law of Zeus shattered. I am without king since my lord died. I knew it was a war impossible to win. And then, in some way, he won it.”
Then go to a scene with Tom Holland as Odysseus’ sonTelemachus, having a conversation with a character still without a name played by Jon Bernthal.
“I have to find out what happened to my father”says Telemachus, to which Bernthal’s character declares the entire room: “Who has a story about Odysseus? Do you have any history? Some say that it is rich. Others who are poor. Some say he died. Others say he is imprisoned.”
He concludes with a drift wood intake at sea with a man lying on her, presumably Damon as Odysseus.
The film will be released in cinemas in July 2026.
