“It is becoming increasingly difficult to create private moments and spaces,” reveals Clooney in the conversation. In order to protect your family from the curious views of the public, you and your husband have made a clear decision together: “So we do our best to minimize the effects on our children. We keep them out of the public, we have never published a photo of you or the like.”

Instead of constantly showing themselves in public, the Clooney’s prefers to receive friends in their own four walls – and use unusual measures. “I now have a phone basket in which I put the smartphones of all guests!” Says Amal Clooney. It is important to her to create an environment in which everyone feels safe and free. “It is important to find a balance to have times with family and friends in which everyone can maintain a safe and open exchange,” explains the lawyer.

Hollywood’s dream couple has been married for over ten years

For years, George Clooney was considered Hollywood’s most popular bachelor – until he met his future wife in 2013 by a common friend. Just a year later, the actor and the lawyer in Venice said yes. Her twins were born in 2017 – even though Clooney actually never wanted children.

“Originally I didn’t even want to get married. I didn’t want children,” the 64-year-old once revealed. But when the 47-year-old came into his life, he fell in love “head over his head”: “I knew at the moment when I met her that everything would be different.”
