“He is my resting pole,” enthuses Ross Antony about his husband. Together they can now be heard on his new album.

Eventful days for Ross Antony (50): On July 4, the singer released his new album “100 years of good mood”. On July 9th he also celebrates his 51st birthday. In an interview with the news agency Spot on News, the entertainer talks about his German-language feeling cover, his duet with husband Paul Reeves (51) and the secret of her harmonious relationship. He also reveals how he wants to spend his birthday – and why then is “a little break”.

You celebrate “100 years of good mood” on your album. How did the idea come about to cover well-known Feelgood hits?

Ross Antony: I wanted to make an album that feels like a perfect summer playlist. Songs that everyone knows, but this time in German, so that the message also arrives properly. There are so many great melodies from the past decades, and I thought why not put a bit of fresh shine on it with my Rossy magic. We worked on it for two years, with a lot of passion. And I think it just fits perfectly in this summer.

What is your ultimate Feelgood hit that always raises your mood?

Antony: “The day will be good”, in the original “Walking on Sunshine”, is not only my new single, but also my personal good mood booster. The song will be released on July 4 with the album and the video really gets you in the mood. There is dancing, laughing, everything is full of ease, just typical Rossy.

They are always in a good mood in public. What gives you a bad mood in your everyday life? What annoys her or makes her angry?

Antony: When people are common to each other, the fun ends. I think it doesn’t cost anything to be friendly. And what really brings me to white glow is when technology goes on strike. WLAN failures, printer that do not work, programs that crash: this is my personal final opponent.

“I know a miracle will be done” was created with her husband Paul. What is it like to work with your partner?

Antony: The great thing is, we just know each other inside and by heart. Paul notices immediately when I am stressed or have a trailer, and vice versa. Of course we are also different, but we argue really rarely and if so only over little things. The good thing is with us, nobody has to have the last word. It is quickly over and then it will continue.

In which situations do you sometimes disagree and how do you solve conflicts in your relationship?

Antony: It is often about little things like decoration. I like it colorful, Paul rather simple. If it bangs, we talk about it, give ourselves a short time and then we drink tea, eat a piece of cake. In the end it is always half as bad anyway.

You celebrate your birthday on July 9th. What have you planned and how much do you appreciate you to have your birthday in the summer?

Antony: This year I am in the middle of the promotional tour and have several TV appearances that day. But I will definitely look for a few nice moments to get a little bit of a birthday mood. And summer birthday is simply the most beautiful. Sun, flowers, happy people, I love that.

Which gifts are you always particularly happy about?

Antony: I love everything that has to do with garden. Plants, decoration, fairy lights. And cosmetics always go. But I am most happy about time together. A nice evening with friends, a good conversation, that’s the greatest for me.

You will be 51 years old. How did you experience your 50th birthday?

Antony: My 50th was unforgettable. I celebrated with family and friends in Cornwall and took a little break for three weeks. We celebrated, located on the beach and just enjoyed the sea and life. It was exactly as I wanted it.

On Instagram you wrote that 2025 will be a full year. How do you deal with stress?

Antony: With our ducks in the garden. I love just sitting outside and watching them. For me it is like a small meditation program. And Paul is often there. He is my resting pole and helps me to keep the balance.

What have you planned for the summer away from your full schedule? Will you still go on vacation?

Antony: Yes, after the promotional tour we go to one of my own Ross Antony Lodges for a week after Cornwall. I can switch off, take a deep breath, drink tea and shop really well. I am really looking forward to the little break. Then it goes on with many appointments, but I also love that, the balance does it.
