After the first concert of the Britpopband Oasis for 16 years, fans have been enthusiastic. “I am completely speechless,” said a fan from Düsseldorf after the long -awaited appearance of the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher in Welsh Cardiff. “I didn’t think it was possible and today we’re here.”

More than 73,000 people cheered the world -famous pair of siblings in the Cardiff stadium when they stepped onto the stage with the song “Hello”. The enthusiastic cheers could also be heard clearly outside the stadium. “It was incredible, absolutely great,” enthused a fan from Great Britain.

Praise in British press

In Cardiff there was already a party mood in the afternoon: Oasis songs were tuned by fans on the streets, and there were long snakes in front of the pubs. During the concert, numerous people gathered in front of the stadium in order to be able to experience reunification at least a little. After the performance, the party mood continued.

The British press also praised the appearance. “A shameless journey back into the 90s to the loudest and best songs in Britpop,” wrote the “Guardian”. The tabloid “The Sun” spoke of an “epic moment”.

More than 30 years ago, Oasis became known with the album “Definitely Maybe”. At the latest the second plate “(what’s the story) Morning Glory?” From 1995 with hits like “Wonderwall” she made it world famous. After a long dispute by the brothers Liam and Noel, the band broke. In August 2024 they announced the comeback: “The big wait has ended,” said the brothers.
