Julian McMahon leaves a lasting track in film and television. Born in Australia in 1968 as the son of a former Prime Minister, he found his way to acting, after a promising but short model career and broken studies.
McMahon’s career was shaped by multifaceted roles that led him from gloomy dramas to blockbuster -compatible comic films. Especially his representation of the cosmetic surgeon Dr. Christian Troy in “Nip/Tuck” made him an internationally celebrated series star, but also the “Charmed” series.
Julian McMahon was married three times and had a daughter
Away from the cameras, McMahon was a person with a strong sense of family, he was married three times in his life and leaves a daughter. Despite his success and glamor, he always remained reserved and protected his private life from the public. In the spring of 2025 he last showed himself at a film festival before retiring from the spotlight. Now his third wife Kelly McMahon announced that the actor died of cancer at the age of 56. This was apparently reported last Wednesday in Clearwater in the US state of Florida, such as “Deadline” and “Hollywood Reporter”, citing his wife Kelly McMahon and his manager David Schiff.
