Do Boris Becker and his wife Lilian get a boy or a girl? The question is probably only clarified with the birth.
On July 7, 1985, Boris Becker (57) became the youngest Wimbledon winner at the age of 17. 40 years later he and his third wife Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro are looking forward to the first young talent. In one, the tennis icon revealed further details about his fifth child, which is to be born in December.
Couple wants to be surprised at the baby family
“So far we don’t want to know whether it will be a boy or a girl. We intend to be surprised,” emphasized Becker, for example. He is already a father of three sons and a daughter. He is “well prepared” for another baby. He could “naturally” change diapers and prepare bottles. He didn’t want to be the best friend of his children, but father and respect. That is why he is strictly on educational issues. It is important to him, for example, “table manners, culture, language, look into the eyes, put a hand”. There he was “old school”.
In 2018 Boris Becker met the Roman Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro -born on the 50th birthday of a close friend in Frankfurt. In September 2024, the couple finally married. Nevertheless, Becker prefers to talk about his wife as a “partner”. Why, he explains: “We have a relationship at eye level, ‘my wife’ sounds too possessive for me. It is not my property.”
Births and Wimbledon were the “most emotional moments”
The ex-professional, on the other hand, has apparently got used to his new Italian election home in Milan: “Life in Milan feels easier than in England. We enjoy that very much.” He is also pleased that thanks to his commitment to Sky Italy, he can stay with his pregnant partner in the coming weeks.
Incidentally, family planning has apparently been decided for a long time: “We spoke about the desire to have a baby together very early in our relationship. My partner was significantly younger than me. It would have been unfair not to give her the chance to become a mother.” Because, according to Becker: “In addition to Wimbledon, my children ‘births are the most emotional moments of my life.” That can be compared to nothing.
His patchwork family
With his first wife Barbara Becker (58), with whom the Wimbledon winner was married from 1993 to 2001, he has the sons Noah (31) and Elias (25). Son Amadeus (15) comes from a marriage to Lilly Becker (49). His daughter Anna Ermakova (25) also comes from a encounter with Angela Ermakova (born 1968).
