Four bomb explosions shook the British capital 20 years ago. King Charles published a message on the Memorial Day.
In a statement on the 20th anniversary of the Islamist terrorist attacks of July 7, 2005 in London, King Charles III. (76) People called on to “stand against those who try to split us”. The British monarch condemned the “senseless acts of evil”. Four suicide bombers had detonated bombs in three subways and a double-decker bus from the capital during the morning rush hour, which killed 52 people and injured more than 700.

The king called for a “spirit of unity”. The attacks would have shown how important it was to “build a society in which people of all faiths and backgrounds can live together in mutual respect and understanding”.
His special prayers would apply to all those “whose life has changed forever on this terrible summer day”. Charles also praised all helpers and the “extraordinary courage and compassion that emerged from the darkness of that day”. Memorial service with Prince Edward
