Ex-Trigema boss is in the hospital
Wolfgang Grupp, who headed the family business Trigema until the end of 2023, is in the hospital. This was confirmed by a press spokeswoman.
Care for the well-known entrepreneur Wolfgang Grupp (83): As different media report, the long-time Trigema boss was taken to a hospital.
“He is doing well in old age”
He quoted a corporate spokeswoman with the words: “Wolfgang Grupp Senior is currently in the hospital. He is doing well.” The police confirmed a rescue mission in Group’s home town of Burladingen (Baden-Württemberg). An injured person was taken to the hospital from a private apartment with a rescue helicopter.
Wolfgang Grupp was born on April 4, 1942 in Burladingen, where Trigema also has his headquarters. His grandfather founded the company, which he took over in 1969 and made one of the most famous German textile and clothing manufacturers. Thanks to many public steps and his clear opinion, Grupp himself became one of the most famous merchants in the country. In September 2023, he announced that at the end of the year Trigema to hand over his children Bonita and Wolfgang Junior and his wife.
It was probably not an easy step for the entrepreneur with body and soul, as he recently told Tim Gabel. At his time as a boss, he looked back with the words: “If you asked my employees how satisfied they were, I don’t think I would get a negative echo. And that’s nice.”
