Paul McCartney made a trip into the past for Ringo Starr’s 85th birthday. He posted an old snapshot.
Ringo Starr celebrates his 85th birthday on July 7th. And of course his Beatles colleague Paul McCartney (83) has also registered. Congratulations to love there was still a special souvenir photo from the old days.
This is what a music legend of the other wishes
“Congratulations on my birthday to my dear friend Ringo (or should I say, Sir Richard),” McCartney wrote to the jubilee and reminded that rigid 2018 was raised through the Queen (1926-2022).
“I wish you a wonderful day full of love.” To do this, he published a photo that shows the two men familiar in recent years. With longer hair and smiling smiling, they look into the camera, leaning against each other. As a photographer, the 83-year-old marked a very special person: his first wife Linda McCartney (1969-1998), who died of breast cancer at the age of only 56 and with whom he has three children together.
In 1962 the drummer joined the Beatles
Ringo Starr was born on July 7, 1940 as Richard Starkey in Liverpool and grew up with his parents in the Dingle workers’ district. His childhood was not easy: the parents divorced early, he was often sick and often had to go to the hospital. Violent abdominal infection is still responsible for its susceptible stomach. The music became his way out: at the end of the 1950s he called himself Ringo Starr for the first time and became a drummer in the Liverpool band Rory Storm & the Hurricanes. In 1962 he joined the Beatles founded two years earlier – the rest is music history.
The “fourth beatle” also started a successful solo career after the volume was dissolved in 1970. Despite his old age, he is still very active. So he was back on stage with Paul McCartney in December, in January he released his new album “Look Up” and he was just on tour.
