Princess Kate took part in the first state banquet on Tuesday evening since her cancer. She spent the evening alongside the guest of honor Emmanuel Macron – the pictures.
The last state visit of a French President in Great Britain was more than 15 years ago. With the greater tension, the current visit was expected by Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte in England. The high guests were received at the airport by Prince William and Princess Kate, then they met King Charles III. and Queen Camilla. The mood was left out on a carriage ride through Windsor. Likewise in the evening when the big state banquet took place at Windsor Castle in honor of the French guests. In addition to the Macrons and some royals, music greats from the country were also invited: Elton John with husband David Furish and Mick Jagger, who was accompanied by his girlfriend, the author Melanie Hamrick.
