“My absolute dream”: Daniela Büchner is back on the screen with her Dokusoap “These Büchner’s hustle and bustle under palms”.
In the documentary soap “This Büchner’s hustle and bustle under palm trees”, Daniela Büchner (47) lets the audience participate up close in the life of her family – with all its ups and downs. From July 10th, the widow from cult emigrant Jens Büchner (1969-2018) will be back with new episodes. In an interview with the news agency Spot on News, the 47 -year -old reveals what the audience can look forward to – and what she wants for her own future.
They are back with new episodes “These Büchner’s hustle and bustle under palms”. How does that feel?
Daniela Büchner: I am very happy about the second season. It becomes much more funny and more exciting than in the first season. There is always something going on with us. It is not wanted by us at all, but so much happens: we moved and Joelina moved out.
How did your family react to the continuation of the documentary soap?
Büchner: Of course you are happy about such a success, as it is also a nice appreciation of the station and especially the viewer. My big children are rather unimpressed. They feel great to do, but also a lot to do: Jada studies and also works. My son Volkan also works a lot. But the little ones and I are very enthusiastic. (laughs)
How is it for you when less harmonious moments are shown in front of the camera?
Büchner: In which family is it always harmonious? Perhaps in the social media world, but with us it also pops. I am always open to the camera because I think that the viewer should see something like this. The smooth, heal world is nowhere. It is difficult for me as a mom when my children argue, but now I think that my adult children have to clarify this alone, and the little ones have to learn that slowly.
A big topic in the new season is to move out of her daughter Joelina. How has the dynamics changed in Büchner since then?
Büchner: In the beginning it was very difficult for me that the first child leaves the nest. But she turns 26 at the end of the year – I have to let her go. It was very difficult, but our relationship has become much tighter. We often make calls together, we write almost every day. I am incredibly proud of my daughter: she lives alone in Hamburg, flies around the world. This is also what you want as a mom: that the children become independent. With Joelina’s extract, everyone at home had to find their place at home. But on the whole I am alone with the twins, the other two go their own way.
Another big topic is the excerpt from the house because of a mold. Who you have a hard time leaving the house with all the memories?
Büchner: We lived in the house for many years, we experienced a lot there and the twins also grew up there. But in the end it was simply no longer suitable. There is simply health. That is why it was no longer so difficult for us and we still carry the memories with us. The new house is beautiful, we really feel comfortable.
In May you fulfilled a big dream with the shoot for the “Playboy” cover. How do you look back on today?
Büchner: When I think back to the shoot, I still get goose bumps. How many times did it exist? A 47-year-old five-time mother on the cover of the “Playboy”. It was a great honor to shoot with a non -perfect body. It was also important to me to show that you don’t have to be perfect to realize your dreams. I would do it again at any time. Maybe on my 50th birthday? If I had the chance and the figure like now, I would definitely do it again.
To what extent have you changed professionally and privately in recent years?
Büchner: With the death of Jens I changed completely. In the meantime, I don’t take a lot so seriously, I have become quieter. I personally cannot take the disputes and bitches in reality TV formats and on social media seriously, that is what strenses on me. Nowadays, many younger reality stars think that they get attention with arguments and thus come to the next shows. But I believe that this is not the right way in the long run.
Do you regret something professionally?
Büchner: I don’t like to “regret” the word, but I don’t really like to think back to the “summer house”. Today I tell myself that I just had to experience it that way and that I had to be like that to develop myself. But I wouldn’t do it again. I can’t look at it anymore either. (laughs)
In addition to the documentary, their daughters are now also represented on reality TV. What do you say?
Büchner: I think that’s great. My daughters have free rail. I always support you. If you want to do something like this, I always stand behind you and I think you have also provided good entertainment. My personal wish is that Jada goes to the jungle camp. (laughs) The reality TV business is hard, so I always tell you that you should stay true to yourself. The viewer notices when you play a role.
What do you want for your future professionally and privately?
Büchner: Our documentary was my absolute dream. I always wanted to have something with my family. I want to do less trash TV. There will definitely be one or the other show again – if there is a nice offer. I want to do the documentary for a few more years, that would be my dream. In my private life, I just want to be happy and enjoy life. I might want to meet the right partner at some point, I don’t want to get old alone. But now I am currently enjoying my life, also my single life. People also always think that I didn’t date. But I’m smart, I just don’t get caught. (laughs)
