Richard Gere: Paul Simon’s daughter Lulu attacks Star

Paul Simons (83) daughter Lulu (30), who, like her father, is active as a musician, addressed sharp words to Richard Gere (75). She attacked the Hollywood star after he is said to have sold her parents’ home in Connecticut to real estate developers. The property from the 1930s is demolished to make room for nine new houses.

“If someone was wondering whether I still hate Richard Gere – yes, I do!”, Lulu Simon wrote angry on Tuesday about a selfie and a screenshot of a newspaper article. According to the “People” property, the “Pretty Woman” star had acquired Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell (59) in 2022 for $ 10.8 million.

Lulu Simon claims that Richard Gere is said to have promised to protect and maintain the country when buying the house. He “never moved in and simply sold it to a developer as nine separate properties,” the singer continued.

Gere had sold the property in October 2024 for $ 10.75 million – just two years after the purchase. The alleged reason for the quick sale: The 75-year-old was moved to Madrid to be closer to the family of his Spanish wife Alejandra (42).

In a second post, Lulu Simon became even more drastic. “I hope that my dead pets, who are buried in the garden, follow you and slowly and mercilessly drive you crazy,” she wrote in another story. To do this, she posted a picture of Gere, apparently surrounded by photos of cats and dogs from her childhood.

Richard Gere had announced his move to Europe early on. “For Alejandra it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture,” he said in April 2024. His wife “gave him generously in my world for six years”, now it was fair to give her at least another six in her home country.

The couple has the shared sons Alexander (6) and James (5). Alejandra also brought his son Albert (11) out of a previous relationship, while Gere still had a son named Homer (25) from a previous marriage to Carey Lowell (64).
