HBO Max has given green light to the series Stuart Fails To Save The Universea new spin-off of The Big Bang Theorycreated by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
This new comedy will feature the executive production of Emmy nominated creators Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady.
What about Stuart Fails to save the universe
In the history of the series, the owner of the Stuart Bloom comic store is forced to restore reality after accidentally breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, causing a multiverse arms. To save the universe, Stuart will have the help of his girlfriend Denise, his geologist Bert and the quantum physicist (and professional annoyance) Barry Kripke. In their mission, they will find alternative versions of the characters that fans already know and love The Big Bang Theory. As the title suggests … things don’t go well.
The series stars Kevin Sussman (Stuart), Lauren Lapkus (Denise), Brian Poshn (Bert) and John Ross Bowie (Barry).
Casey Bloys, president and CEO of HBO and HBO Max content, commented: “We are excited to continue with the legacy of The Big Bang Theory. For his part, Chuck Lorre, executive producer, mentioned: “I wanted to do something radical, to get me out of my comfort zone. Something that the characters of The Big Bang Theory would have loved, hated and discussed for hours.”
Zak Penn, executive producer, added: “I was in a spiritual search in the most remote areas of the Amazon jungle when a messenger dove arrived with a note from Chuck Lorre, wondering if I wanted to help create a series that the characters of The Big Bang Theory would see. I could not resist the idea, so I packed my yurt Expedition to locate Bill Prady, who had been frozen, with his shield on his chest, in an Arctic ice block.
