Giorgio Armani reports back after his hospital stay: on his 91st birthday, he announces his comeback for September.
Giorgio Armani reports to his fans on his 91st birthday with a message. In it, the health -struck fashion designer speaks of difficult weeks. The statement was published on Friday.
“In the past few weeks I have felt the hug of all those who thought of me – family, colleagues, employees, the press and people on social networks,” writes Armani in his message. “Today, on my 91st birthday, I would like to thank you all for this closeness.”
Armani was missing for the first time at his own show
At the end of June and early July, Giorgio Armani had to be treated in the hospital for several days. The designer is silent about the exact cause of his stay in the clinic that his company only explained that he recovered at home and collect strength for upcoming appointments. Because of this time -out, Armani for the first time in his career missed the fashion shows of his label at the Milan and Paris Fashion Week. “It was not easy for me not to hear your applause personally,” it says in his message.
Comeback in September
Usually Giorgio Armani personally monitors every detail of his fashion shows. Traditionally at the end of each presentation, he treads in front of the audience – and that is exactly what he apparently wants to do again in September when the labels worldwide show their collections for spring/summer 2026. “Thanks from the bottom of my heart – see you again in September,” he announces.
Giorgio Armani is one of the most important fashion designers in the world. He founded his label of the same name in the mid-1970s together with his partner Sergio Galeotti. After his death in 1985, Armani is still leading the company alone.
