Son of former Australian prime minister William McMahon, McMahon began his career as a model before devoting himself to acting, appearing in soap operas as The Power, Passion, Home and Away and Another World. Debuted in the cinema with Wet and Wild Summer In 1993 and subsequently participated in projects such as The fantastic four (2005) and its sequel The Fantastic Four and Silver Surferas well as in Paranoia and Grid.

His Nip/Tuck co -star, Dylan Walsh, also dedicated a tribute letter addressed to McMahon: “I know you like to skip the limits, but this time you have passed. See you at the Biltmore, we take a martini and talk about this. In addition to his wife, McMahon survives his daughter, Madison.
