In an interview, Nicole Scherzinger talks about the future of the Pussycat Dolls. There have been no new projects since the Reunion.
Nicole Scherzinger (47) has commented on a possible comeback from the Pussycat Dolls. After the separation of the successful dance and singing group, a reunion occurred in 2019, but the planned comeback tour was canceled. Since then it has been unclear how the future of the band is. Scherzinger now spoke about whether she can imagine a return of the group.
“Never say never,” said the singer, who was part of the Pussycat Dolls from 2003 to 2010, in the conversation. However, she is currently busy with the Broadway production “Sunset Boulevard”, in which she plays the role of the eccentric Diva Norma Desmond. “But who knows what the future brings,” continued Scherzinger.
Nicole Scherzinger gives Girlgroup members advice
Although Scherzinger does not know how the future of the Pussycat Dolls is – but for women who are part of a girl group, she still has a advice: “I think you shouldn’t have a big ego, everyone plays a strong role in its own way. There are different roles and everything serves the band.”
The Pussycat Dolls should also have gone through this learning process. Many of the members had “incredible voices”. “But not everyone could be a solo singer because it was a band. You had to know when to take the lead and you had to know when to harmonize,” emphasized the singer.
What about the Pussycat Dolls?
The Pussycat Dolls are a group of Los Angeles who dissolved in 2010. In 2019 they came together again and a large reunion tour was announced – but it had to be postponed due to the pandeme and finally completely canceled. A legal dispute between Nicole Scherzinger and band founder Robin Antin broke out. Among other things, the 64-year-old accused Scherzinger of wanting to claim 75 percent of the income of a tour. Scherzinger’s side, on the other hand, emphasized that she only tried to negotiate the contractual conditions after multiple displacement. According to media reports, the two finally agreed last year. How it goes on remains open.
