Adam Levine: Maroon 5 singer puts an end to tattoos

Adam Levine (46) wants to stay away from the tattoo pin in the future. The maroon 5 front man, whose body is like a walking work of art, has enough. The singer made a surprising announcement on the occasion of his new album “Love Is Like”: it is now over with the tattoos.

The turning point came with its latest tattoo – a revision of the tattoos on his left arm. “I put on my arm tattoo with another. Who does something like that? What is wrong with me? Completely crazy,” said Levine.

However, Levine seems to be more sensitive to pain with age. What once started as “fun” is a pain today. “It really hurt. I was somehow finished with the pain, I decided …” He was “softer”, explains the musician. “If I have a tattoo stabbing now, I think: ‘It hurts so damn and wonder what is wrong. I’m done.”

In addition to the declining pain tolerance, Levine also fights with a very practical problem: the area is running out for further works of art. “I have no more space on my body,” he admits. His face remains taboo – he “promised” that. However, in 2013 he also said “People” that his hands and legs were also taboo.

The writing and drawings on his hand are now even Levine’s favorite. When asked about his favorite tattoo, he answered thoughtfully: “No, there are too many. It’s too overwhelming.” After a short superiority, he adds: “I like them on my hands”, where “True Love” is emblazoned over eight fingers.

The artist’s first tattoo was a pigeon on his left biceps, which he had stabbed the World Trade Center after the terrorist attack. “I was 21. It was five days after 9/11. I had the need to say something with this peaceful thing on my body”.
