What is currently worth streaming – such as the Norwegian dramedy “Ida saves the world”.

A student worryes a lot, a daughter does not get her father’s death out of her head and a tyrant wants to submit a whole galaxy with the power of his thinking.

“Ida saves the world” (ARD)

A student Ida (Elli Müller Osborne) moves from her safe hometown to the busy Oslo for her psychology studies. She is looking forward to student life, but is increasingly suffering from anxiety disorders. At the university, Ida meets the awkward Axel (Arthur Hakalahti). While he is trying to do little chance of success, her fears strengthen and it becomes increasingly paranoid. She is convinced that it can recognize an “Incel” in it that is planning a killing spree on frustration about women. Actually, Ida wants to keep him at a distance. But: shouldn’t she help? As a knower, does she not have a responsibility to prevent something bad?

While other students plunge into parties and relationships, Ida is increasingly haunted by her paranoia and is found in a confused network of fear, responsibility and ethical dilemma. The eight-part Norwegian dramedy series “Ida saved the world” has been in the ARD media library since July 11th.

In the humorous action crime series “Cat’s Eyes”, Tamara Chamade returns to Paris after five years of absence to their sisters Sylia and Alexia. She finally wants to find out the truth about her father’s death. Sylia actually concluded with the topic. But Tamara is firmly convinced that the catastrophic fire in her father’s gallery, the art collector Michaël Heinz, was not an accident. Her younger sister Alexia, called “Alex”, has meanwhile come into conflict with the law.

Tamara meets her ex-boyfriend Quentin Chapuis, who now works as a police officer. When he tells her that he is mainly responsible for art theft, she becomes aware. Because Tamara has planned a lot. “Cat’s Eyes” is an eight -part French series based on a Japanese comic of Tsukasa Hōjō, and starts on July 18.

New episodes of “Foundation”, the science fiction saga by David S. Goyer, are now available. More than 150 years after the events of the second season, the foundation has established itself far beyond its modest beginnings, while the empire has shrunk. The two powers forge a fragile alliance. Meanwhile, a threat to the entire galaxy appears: a fearsome warlord who is known as “The Mule” and wants to master the universe through violence and thought control. The series is based on books by Isaac Asimov. Jared Harris and Lee Pace and Lou Llobell are there in the leading roles, the first of the ten parts of the third season went online on July 11th.
