Follow the Formula-1 races at the weekend? This is not an option for Jan Delay. He is not interested in motorsport. Now he has spoken for a children’s film a bird that commented on car racing.
The Hamburg musician Jan Delay (49) has a soft spot for Formula 1 – but he does not mean motorsport. Instead, his heart beats “only for the music show”, Delay told the German Press Agency in Hamburg. The music video show “Formula one” of the ARD ran between 1983 and 1990 and was moderated by Ingolf Lück and Kai Böcking. “That was my absolute sanctuary.” With Formula 1 motor sport you can hunt it.
He nevertheless adopted the synchronized job for the children’s film “Grand Prix of Europe”, in which he speaks a parrot commenting on the car racing. The funny role fit well. “I think I never said that: No, I don’t.” Delay has already lent his voice to the raven Sock, Willi von Bee Maja and the super villain Vector “I – simply incorrigible”.
The animated film “Grand Prix of Europe” will be released as part of the 50th anniversary of the Europa-Park in Rust in southern Baden and starts on July 24th in the cinemas. It deals with the mouse Edda, who dreams of a life as a racing driver and adores her idol ed. Suddenly she gets in the middle of the racing circus and has to prove herself.
