Elliot Page: He’s announcing his memoir

Elliot Page will publish his memoir, Pageboy, in 2023. The actor came out as transgender in 2020.

Actor Elliot Page (34) will publish his memoirs in 2023. In “Pageboy”, the title of the book, he will speak openly about his life. Among other things, it should be about his acting career, for which he received an Oscar nomination for “Juno” in 2008. But he will also share his experiences in the transgender community.

“The memoir will explore Page’s relationship with his body and his experiences as one of the most famous trans people on the planet, delving into mental health, assault, love, relationships, sex and the sewer that Hollywood can be,” shared the publisher Flatiron Books in an announcement.

He spoke to Oprah Winfrey about breast surgery

His breast surgery should also be an issue, because that was a concern of his before. Elliot Page publicly came out as transgender in December 2020; in April 2021 he spoke to Oprah Winfrey (68) in his first interview since coming out, among other things about his breast surgery, which is a surgical procedure for transgender men to remove breast tissue (subcutaneous mastectomy).

“I wanted to talk about this for a number of reasons,” Page recalled to Winfrey. “I wanted to share with people how much it has changed my life. And I want people to know that not only has it been life-changing for me, but that I believe it is life-saving, and it has been for so many people is the case,” said Page.
