Sarah Michelle Gellar: Colleagues are commemorating Shannen Doherty

On the first day of the death of actress Shannen Doherty (1971-2024), several colleagues registered and recognized the deceased. The star from the series “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed – Magical Witches” died on July 13, 2024 at the age of 53 after a long fight against cancer.

The two women had started their story together, she now experienced the “after”. Then Spelling added a few lessons that she learned from Doherty and which she now tries to implement. For example: “You taught me to activate my strength and let them shine.” Last year she also said “no” more often than ever – “because you would have done it”.

Shannen Doherty was diagnosed for the first time in 2015. From the beginning, she dealt very openly with this disease. The cancer later formed metastases in her brain and also went over to the bones. She started new chemotherapy just a few weeks before her death, but her condition deteriorated. On July 13, 2024, she succumbed to the disease.

Shannen Doherty became known primarily through her roles in the TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed – Magical Witches”. In 2009 she returned to her cult role as Brenda Walsh for the “90210” offshoot. In private, no persistent love luck was granted to her. She was married three times. From her last husband, Kurt Iswarienko, she was divorced shortly before her death. In April 2023 she submitted the divorce after cheating her.
