Richard Dreyfuss: “The White Hai” star reports from the clinic

Richard Dreyfuss (77) missed a fan event for the 50th anniversary of “Der Weiße Hai” (1975). The actor was actually invited to the Sharkcon trade fair in Florida at the weekend. The event organized by the magazine “National Geographic” this year was in the sign of Steven Spielberg’s round birthday (78).

Most recently, he noticed with controversial statements. During a demonstration of “Der Weiße Hai” in May 2024, he gave a speech in which he shot against transsexuality, among other things. At that time, many spectators are said to have left the hall in protest.

Richard Dreyfuss is the only living main actor of “The White Hai”. Robert Shaw, who embodied the gnarled Captain Quint, died in 1978 at the age of 51. Roy Scheider, who played the water -shy sheriff Brody, died in 2008 at the age of 75.
