An academic milestone for crown princess Amalia: she took part in the celebrations for the bachelor’s degree.
A big moment for Crown Princess Amalia (21): The Dutch heir to the throne celebrated the end of her Bachelor’s degree. Published the royal family a photo on which Amalia proudly smiles into the camera in a wine -red dress and with a graduate hat on the head. Another picture with her family shows her: her parents Máxima (54) and King Willem-Alexander (58), her sisters Princess Alexia (20) and Princess Ariane (18) and grandmother Beatrix (87) came to the celebration.
“The Princess of Orania takes part in the traditional graduation ceremony of the University of Amsterdam,” it says. In the royal concert hall, the end of the bachelor’s degree will be celebrated, the royal family commented on the pictures. Amalia did not yet get her final certificate. Because she had broken her arm in a riding accident, an extension was granted to her in a subject. Therefore, she will only receive her bachelor’s degree later.
Amalia wants to start the second bachelor’s degree
In 2022, Amalia had started her studies in politics, psychology, law and business in 2022. Originally she moved to Amsterdam, where she lived in a student flat share. However, she quickly returned to the palace due to threats from the mafia. She continued to study in Spain for a year, as her father later confirmed. The move was kept secret beforehand.
After graduation, Amalia will start further bachelor’s degree at the University of Amsterdam. As the palace announced a few weeks ago, it will prove a course in Dutch law. In addition, she wants to “take part in the training program of the Defensity College in the next two studies,” it said. In this program of the Ministry of Defense, she is trained as a military reserve.
