Since Saturday, July 19, it can be lived again in all its splendor, with the beginning of the Minitrekking season organized by the ice & adventure company, concessionaire of the Los Glaciares National Park.

This adventure allows to address from an exclusive point the majesty of the expert Moreno, one of the maximum natural references of Argentine Patagonia, located only 80 kilometers from El Calafate. To operate in this imposing environment of the planet, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, the Ice & Aventura company assumes the environmental commitment to preserve this unique ecosystem, implementing sustainable practices.

In the base camp, near the glacier, wind mills and solar panels generate clean energy to supply shelters and operational areas, which allows reducing fossil fuel dependence, minimizing the carbon footprint.

It also has a wastewater treatment plant that processes gray waters from toilets and vessels. This system allows responsible water management and minimizes the environmental impact; Carry out a strong zero waste policy in the glacier, with the motto that “everything that rises, goes down”, in addition to separation and transfer of waste for its correct treatment in the cafate, elimination of single -use plastics in the excursions and a policy of education and awareness by the guides.
