A year after her thigh neck broken, ex-“Lindenstraße” star Marie-Luise Marjan recovered her mobility.
She makes the best of her situation: ex- “Lindenstraße” star Marie-Luise Marjan (84) suffered a broken thigh neck about a year ago. Your mobility was then severely restricted. But now the former actress of Helga Beimer is on the road again, takes part in public life and remains active – supported by a rollator.
Marie-Luise Marjan does not like the term “rollator”
“In the meantime I have struggled to do so, after all, I would like to continue to participate in social life and not only hide at home” about your walking aid. Even if she does not particularly appreciate the term “rollator” as such.
“In the word you immediately think of old people with curved backs and a sad look that drag around with it. The opposite is the case! The rollator gives me a completely new way of life,” said Marjan.
Thigh neck break made immediate operation necessary
The popular actress made her broken thigh neck public. At that time she was “very bad” in the theater, “was operated on immediately. That was lucky in misfortune. My nerves and blood connections remained intact”.
This was followed by rehab and daily training, so that Marjan is now mobile with her walking aid. “Everything slowly, but there are so many friendly people who shake my hand when they realize that I am unsure about climbing stairs,” she says of her new living conditions.
In addition, she treated herself to a luxury version of the rollator, of which she raves in the highest tones: “Carbon! He only weighs five kilograms and can be folded together so that I can put it in the car. The handles are made of cork, wonderfully soft and comfortable. Practical and very chic.”
